How to find a retina display's native resolution with QuickRes


With QuickRes, you can run your retina display at it's full native resolution, and take advantage of every pixel!

  • Right click the QuickRes menubar icon
  • Select "Resolutions" to see supported HiDPI and Standard
  • You Mac's native resolution is in the "Standard" list, and is twice the size of the default scaled resolution.
    • If you're on a 15″ MacBook Pro native resolution is 2880x1800
    • If you're on a 13″ MacBook Pro native resolution is 2560x1600
    • The 12″ MacBook has a native resolution of 2304x1440
